Google One users get Google Photos AI-powered “Magic Eraser,” one of the best photo-editing features on the Google Pixel, is now available on other Android and iOS devices. But you won’t have to pay for it. Today, Google announced that Google One subscribers will also be able to use the popular tool, which uses artificial intelligence to remove unwanted content from photos. Google One members will also get a few other editing tools, like a new HDR video effect, exclusive collage styles, and more.
At first, the Google One subscription was a way to pay for extra cloud storage for things like Photos, Docs, and Gmail. Over the years, however, it has grown to include a VPN and other features that are only available to members, such as the ability to host longer group video calls on Google Meet, 10% cashback on Google Store purchases, longer trials, and other premium Google Photos features, like Portrait Light, which lets you soften the background and adjust the light position and brightness on the faces of your subjects.
With the release of Magic Eraser and the other new features, Google Photos’ set of exclusive benefits is growing again.
Magic Eraser was previously only available to Google Pixel 6 and 7 owners, but now it will be available to all Google One subscribers on both Android and iOS. It will also be available on the Pixel 5a and older Pixel phones without requiring a Google One subscription. Even though there are other third-party apps that can remove objects, Magic Eraser adds this feature to the main Photos app on Android devices, which is also the app that many iPhone users prefer over Apple’s Photos.
Google One subscribers will also have access to a new HDR video effect that tries to balance dark foregrounds and bright backgrounds, or vice versa. This effect is similar to one that was already available for photos, according to Google. Consumer Top Latest Blog.

Also, the collage editor in Google Photos is getting a bunch of new Styles and the ability to apply a Style to only one photo in a collage. This will also be available to Google One subscribers and Pixel owners.
As a final new perk, Google One members in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., and the EU will be able to get free shipping on photo prints they order from the online store.
Even though each feature may not be worth paying for on its own, Google One’s subscription is one of the most popular in app stores because of the extra storage, backup and sync options, and other benefits. In 2022, data.ai found that the Google One app was the No. 6 non-game app in terms of consumer spending around the world. It was also the eighth best-selling song in the United States. Most people buy the subscription for the extra storage and backup space. In a way, it’s Google’s version of Apple’s iCloud. But it’s also another way for Google to keep customers in its app ecosystem, even if they don’t have a Pixel phone or even an Android device.
Google says that Magic Eraser, the HDR effect, and the new collage styles will start rolling out today, but they won’t be available to all users worldwide for a few weeks. But the free shipping is now active.
